It's hard to believe we are almost to back to school season! School introduces new challenges when it comes to feeding kids. Gone are the summer days when kid's can snack all day in front of the TV. Now kids need to not only be feed to hold them over all day, but properly so that they can concentrate and learn. These four recipes are full of protein, fiber and healthy fats so your kids can focus all day.


BLT Salad From A Grand Life

Your kids will love this twist on the classic BLT sandwich. It's a sneaky way to get your kids to eat their greens. Want to make it even healthier? Swap out the regular pasta for whole wheat, and your kids will be full and energized all day!




DIY Uncrustables from Princess Pinky

Make the your own version of the popular lunch option. You can make these in bulk and freeze them so you always have an easy lunch option. Swap out the white bread for whole wheat to make it even healthier. If your child is not allowed to bring peanut butter to school or has an allergy, a great substitute is sunflower butter which has a very similar taste and allergen friendly.

This is a healthy and easy lunch option. Your kids will love these. These are very similar to a traditional turkey sandwich but won't feel like a traditional turkey sandwich to your child. The turkey meat, cheese and cream cheese will provide your child with enough protein to keep them focused. You can add any extra veggies you want like tomatoes, spinach or cucumbers for some extra nutrients.


Diy Lunchables from Eating on a Dime

These are great because they're so versatile. You can do any type of lunch meat or cheese. You can do whole grain crackers. You can even put some pita, pizza sauce and shredded cheese in there for pizza lunchables. They're also way cheaper than buying them at the store. Add some veggies and fruit for some extra fiber.
